IN A NUTSHELL
Why do you want to work with couples reading GWG?
Every couple’s love story is unique and their wedding day should completely reflect that! The institute of marriage is steeped in a wealth of traditions which don’t translate for many gay couples and I love helping create a day which truly reflects them in every aspect, whether embracing old traditions or creating new ones.
What is your approach to weddings?
I work closely with my couples and to learn about their story and what brought them together, their shared goals for the future and discover what they are passionate about. I then begin to translate this into how they can incorporate these elements as part of their wedding day. I take my clients vision from (in some cases) a vague idea to a wonderful reality, ensuring they are fully engaged throughout the entire planning process.
What do you love about what you do?
I love helping couples create a one-off celebration, which they will remember for the rest of their lives! It is an honour to be part of their journey into marriage and to be able to help take the burden and stress away in what I do is really rewarding.
What’s your favourite wedding song?
You Are The Best Thing by Ray LaMontagne – it was the first dance song at my own wedding!
What’s your favourite wedding reading?
A Lovely Love Story by Edward Monkton. I love the sweet sentiment of it plus it can be easily adapted to suit each couple and their unique traits.

“Cat, we cannot thank you enough! You have made this such an enjoyable and stress free experience from start to finish. And perhaps the best part of this experience of planning with you has been that we feel we have gained a friend! We are truly so thankful for your guidance and support!”
