IN A NUTSHELL
As a gay man, a former vicar and now a civil celebrant who is passionate about equal marriage, Nigel rejoices in giving gay couples the wedding ceremony of their dreams, and although he offers wedding ceremonies for all couples irrespective of sexuality, he specialises in gay wedding ceremonies and can, if you wish, also provide a religious element to your marriage.
Of course, ceremonies can be fully non-religious, fully religious or any combination of the two; they can also include handfasting, sand ceremonies, the joyful quaich ceremony and more…
Why do you want to work with us?
You want to be able to relax and enjoy your day in full knowledge that the person planning and leading your ceremony fully embraces your relationship. As a gay man, passionate about equal marriage, I rejoice in giving gay couples the wedding ceremony of their dreams.
What is your approach to weddings?
I enjoy working with you to produce a ceremony that is unique to you and your relationship. Whether that’s music to suit your relationship or location, helping you to write vows personal to your love story or creating elements such as a special handfasting ceremony, I take every opportunity to create a very special ceremony for you.
What do you enjoy most about what you do?
Wedding ceremonies are happy occasions filled with joy. It is wonderful to get to know you over several meetings and to share the joy with you, and others on your special day.
What is your favourite wedding song?
I have no particular favourite – there are so many wonderful songs to choose from! I always work with you to choose music appropriate for your story.
What is your favourite wedding reading?
The Velveteen Rabbit, for me says it all!
Based in the West Midlands, Nigel is happy to travel across the UK and beyond. He will discuss travel expenses with you on your first meeting so that you are fully aware of the cost to you.
