Holmewood Hall

Originally commissioned in 1873, Holmewood Hall is a magnificent Tudor style mansion enveloped by immaculate grounds, gardens and parkland. Located in the South of England at the Gateway to the Fens, you can't help but fall in love with this beautiful country house wedding venue in Cambridgeshire.

History

The first house at Holmewood was constructed in 1644 and acquired by the Wells family in 1749; twenty years later, the house was rebuilt and stood for just over a century before it was recommissioned and transformed into the mansion you see today. Since then, it has been used as a WWII training base, an agricultural research centre, and has now been lovingly refurbished to host weddings.

Your Wedding Day

You and your guests can sip champagne in the Champagne Bar upon arrival before adjourning into the magnificent Gold Room for your wedding ceremony. Inside this incredible room, you will walk up the 50ft-long golden aisle before taking your positions at the top, ready to say your vows.

If you'd prefer to marry outside, the Bandstand which overlooks the grounds, is licensed for civil wedding ceremonies and is a truly romantic place to say "I do".

Once you are married, you and your guests can enjoy a sumptuous dining experience in Holmewood Hall's lake-view Banqueting Hall, prepared bespoke to your wishes by the Hall's very own in-house chefs.

Evening Reception

For your evening of dancing, the newly refurbished Vaults beneath the Hall offers the perfect space for you and your guests to celebrate until the wee small hours. It even features a starlit LED dance floor.
