What Makes Us Unique
In a nutshell
Alison is a fully certified Civil Celebrant who has worked in the LGBTQ+ community for over twenty years. She celebrates equality, diversity, and has a strong passion for life, death and everything in between.
Having worked for over thirty years in the entertainment industry, you will still be able to see her perform at The Two Brewers or Pride events, but she has found a new passion that's taken over in the most rewarding way! Alison has the ability and experience to create highly personalised ceremonies for a variety of life celebrations including wedding celebrations and commitment ceremonies, transitioning or ,coming out' ceremonies, naming days and other family celebrations. Alison is a storyteller who will surround you with love, encourage you to contemplate life, make you laugh and bring you to tears. Whatever the occasion, Alison will work with you to create a ceremony that represents who you are and celebrates your individual values and beliefs. But this is not about me. It's about YOU! Your day. Your way.Why do you want to work with LGBTQ+ couples?
I feel it's important for the LGBTQ+ community to have access to professionals who can help them write and create their wedding celebration without having to explain the pronouns; someone who is completely at ease in her own skin, someone who's able to focus on the individual needs of each couple, their family and friends, and can make their day as unique as they are!
What is your creative approach to weddings?
My motto is, You are only limited by your imagination. Dream big!
I'm not a wedding planner, but I am affiliated with with like-minded individuals who, like me, are also focused on how to make your day AMAZING!!!! The most important thing about being a celebrant is the ability to actively listen to my clients' needs and wishes and bring them to fruition. I do not work from ,templates'. No ceremony is the same. I will create and conduct a ceremony that's JUST for YOU.What do you love about what you do?
The people.
I work in all areas of celebrancy; weddings, commitment ceremonies, funerals and a wide range of other life celebrations, but you just can't beat a good love story. I look forward to writing YOURS!Where are we?

Our Perfect Wedding Day | July 2020
Having a wedding this year was certainly different and whilst we had a wonderful day both at the registry office and then my sisters for the reception, we were really missing having the opportunity to personalise our vows to each other and to my step daughter. That’s where Ali stepped in and turned our wedding around. Aside from the professionalism and immaculate organisation and care around the planning of our special day, Ali brought an abundance of spirit and love to our ceremony that touched not only us but our guests too. We were blessed to have her there and be a part of such a special milestone in our lives. Thank you so much Ali-we are so lucky to have had you. It really was the perfect day!
